Join our 20th Anniversary Celebration

2024 marks another milestone for Central Maryland AHEC- 20 years of improving health equity in metro Baltimore and beyond. The journey began in 2003 with the founding of Baltimore Area Health Education Center, incorporated in 2004 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. In 2018, the organization expanded to include six additional jurisdictions as Central Maryland AHEC. In addition to Baltimore City, the organization now serves Harford, Carroll, Anne Howard, Anne Arundel, Prince Georges, Montgomery and Baltimore Counties.

Since in 2003 Central Maryland AHEC (formerly Baltimore AHEC) has worked to increase health equity by educating and strengthening the healthcare workforce and providing health education and supportive services for medically under-served residents.

In recognition of this landmark year, Central Maryland AHEC will launch the WE LOVE Campaign: WE Love ourselves; WE Love our family; We Love our community- a holistic approach to supporting residents in Central Maryland disproportionately impacted by co-occurring social determinants of health. The celebration of the anniversary year will include a reception to honor champions of health equity in Central Maryland and health and resource fairs throughout Central Maryland.

Join us in celebrating our 20 years by contributing to the future of Maryland’s future healthcare workforce with a donation.
