Interdisciplinary Health Education
Central Maryland AHEC facilitates an Interdisciplinary Health Education Committee (IHEC) with members representing diverse health disciplines. IHEC members may be any interested health professional, nominated by a local health professional organization, or AHEC Board Member.
Central Maryland AHEC partners with University of Maryland Baltimore to provide interdisciplinary education through community health programs, geriatric assessment training, webinars and conferences. In addition, as a state certified Overdose Response Program, Central Maryland AHEC conducts Overdose Response Training and provides samples of Narcan to health professions students.
